Twenty 22 lb cylinders, sized for a contractor whose conversion or remediation workload makes flushing a standard line item on every job. What technicians ask us most about this product
Is Solstice EZ Flush a refrigerant?
No. It is a flushing solvent used to clean a system out — it is not charged into a system as a working fluid. It is consumed in addition to refrigerant on a job, not instead of it.
When do I need to flush a system?
Most commonly after a compressor burnout, where acid and debris would otherwise contaminate the new charge and lubricant, and before a retrofit where residual oil has to be brought down. Skipping it is a common cause of a repeat failure shortly after an expensive repair.
How much flush does one system take?
It depends on the size of the system and how contaminated it is. A single cylinder covers a typical residential system; shops running conversion or burnout work routinely keep it on every van rather than sharing one cylinder.
Does flushing replace changing the filter drier?
No. Fit a new filter drier as well — flushing removes the bulk of the contamination, and the drier deals with what is left and with moisture. Our retrofit guide covers where both fit in the sequence.
