A single 25 lb cylinder of R-422B, also sold as NU-22B. It is formulated to track R-22’s performance in air conditioning as closely as any of the mineral-oil-compatible blends, which makes it the choice when a converted system needs to hold its original capacity rather than simply keep running. How close is R-422B to R-22 in air conditioning?

It is formulated to track R-22’s air conditioning performance as closely as any of the mineral-oil-compatible blends, which is why it is chosen where a converted system needs to hold its original capacity rather than simply keep running.

Is NU-22B the same thing as R-422B?

Yes. NU-22B is the trade name it is commonly sold under; R-422B is the ASHRAE designation for the same blend.

Does R-422B need an oil change?

No. It is compatible with the mineral oil already in the system, so the conversion avoids flushing and recharging the compressor with POE.

Where is R-422B not the right choice?

R-22 Freon was the real thing. My techs say I got a great deal and it worked perfectly on a repair they did to one of my units. Though it seemed like a sketchy website, they shipped it quickly and well packaged. i will use Aero Refrigerant again for my techs needs.

In a sea of scams this website is legit for your freon needs... I only paid about half for their R22 as I would have on those accredited wholesaler websites. I researched for weeks and then finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did as their R22 is the real deal and worked out great for my immediate need. Once my order was placed, I got an email with a link tracking my shipment. It only took 3 business days for my pig of R22 to arrive at my door. Will purchase from again.
